Our Mother, our inspiration.
Winnie was married for 31 years to Hank and was the mother of four daughters (Linda, Karen, Janice, and Colleen) and one boy (Ron). She leaves behind 6 granddaughters (Diana, Krystal, Carolyn, Becky, Hannah, Ashley), 4 grandsons (Rob, Paul, TJ and Nick) and 1 great grandson (Ian). She has two sisters, Helen and Ruth. She was employed as an administrative secretary for nearly 20 years for a large TPA. She also proudly worked as a waitress for over 20 years for the Roadhouse Restaraunt in Phoenix, and for awhile held both jobs simultaneously. She also was a whiz when it came to computer graphics and was the editor of the employee newsletter for several years. Winnie had many obstacles in her life but overcame them and did so with a grace and inner strength most would envy. Strong willed and proud, she always held her head high and never felt sorry for herself. She always tried to find the humorous side of a life. When she was lying in the hospital with a chest tube in her lung and trying to digest the grim news she had been given just days before, she light heartedly "scolded" Linda for gossiping about someone, saying, "stop that Linda, I have to be good. I am trying to get into Heaven". I don't think she needed to worry about that, I'm sure she was already on God's "A" list. She was wholly dedicated to her family, her job and to her friends. She leaves behind a legacy of pride, graciousness, generosity, unconditional love and immeasurable strength. She is an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. She is deeply missed everyday.
